That this House congratulates the members of the St Kilda swim team 2015 who swam from St Kilda to Hushinish on Harris, a distance of 60 miles; notes that seven swimmers swam for 35 hours accompanied by three kayakers and a three-person support boat crew; further notes they raised over £16,000 for Yorkhill Hospital, Aberlour Child Trust, the Fisherman’s Mission and the Leanne Cystic Fibrosis Trust; notes also that this is the first time that this feat has been accomplished; and congratulates Motherwell resident John Dyer, a retired firefighter and grandfather, who took part.
