I’ve assisted over 3,000 local people with over 4,600 cases, including battling the DWP on behalf of many constituents who have been handed unfair benefit sanctions or have fallen victim to flawed work assessments…
I’ve played an important role as part of the Scottish Steel Task Force – set up by the Scottish Government – which worked to successfully save the Dalzell steelworks…

I’ve established the Poverty Action Network, bringing together local organisations from across our communities – such as Basics Food Bank, the Citizens Advice Bureau, Routes to Work, the Scottish Association for Mental Health, and the Scottish Welfare Fund – in an effort to work towards eradicating poverty in Motherwell, Wishaw and Bellshill…
